Whyalla Prepped for Festival State Cup

from Dave Camwell

Festival State Cup Round 1 – Whyalla Kart Club

With close to 80 entries for the first round, this meeting should be a cracker.

The following four meetings for the series are in the Adelaide area, so numbers should improve as the travel is minimal for most.

The track is ready for FSC this Sunday, March 10

The Whyalla Committee has put in a tremendous amount of work and effort to ensure that everyone who turns up to race will have an enjoyable experience.

We now have a recondition ladies toilet block with a shower being installed, yep a shower, so that makes a shower in the mens and now one in the womens.

A bonus for the campers – new shower with hot water

Camping will be made much easier now, so why not bring your wife, girl friend or whoever – no excuses now!

The Club cannot survive and thrive without the generosity of our sponsors, we would not be able to make improvements without the support of these guys, race meetings alone does not generate the require funds to continually making improvements.

Thank you to the following:

• Whyalla City Council

• Avid Engineering
• A1 Welding
• Topz Shopz Deli
• McLeod Motor Company
• Desmond Jewellers
• Whyalla Earth Works

• Augusta Caravans and Campers
• Clift Freight Services

All these companies have contributed in a way that is very hard as a Club to give back in recognition. I’m sure they do it to support our Club and community and are probably not that bothered in any recognition, but as a Club we will try are best to do so.

We have sourced 7.5K in cash and another $250 in goods, this will allow us to run the meeting, pay our bills and ultimately have the required funds to redo our overdue perimeter cyclone fencing.

Again, thank you all very much.

Kind regards
Whyalla Kart Club
