Pro Tour PR
Ipswich Club President, Scott Howard has confirmed that he will be running a Day/Night Shakedown Event on Saturday April 6th ahead of the third round of the Sparco Rotax Pro Tour.
With the third round of the National Series being ran under lights this is the perfect opportunity for drivers to race and test ahead of the QLD State Title round.
“We will be offering both day and night practice in the lead up to the shakedown and promise to run the finals under lights so drivers can well and truly get a feel for the tracks conditions” says Howard.
This will be the first time since the 2014 Nationals that the Rotax Pro Tour runs under lights and both the promoters and club are excited for the event.
Howard also confirmed the track will be open on the following days for practice leading up to the shakedown and the day after:
- Wednesday 3rd April – 9:00am to 9:00pm
- Thursday 4th April – 8:00am to 5:00pm
- Friday 5th April – 9:00am to 9:00pm
- Saturday 6th April – Official Shakedown Day/Night Event
- Sunday 7th April – 8:30am to 4:00pm
Classes will be ran as follows:
- Micro & Mini combined
- Junior Max
- Rotax Light & Rotax Heavy combined
- DD2 & DD2 Masters combined
Once Supplementary Regulations are approved and entries have opened we will inform you via our social media outlets. We just want to give everyone enough notice to plan.
If you have any questions regarding the Shakedown please contact Ipswich Kart Club.
The Sparco Rotax Pro Tour will visit Ipswich Kart Club on May 3 – 4 where no less than seven drivers will be crowned QLD State Champions, more to come on the event over the coming weeks.
