Karting Victoria ‘Club Day’ Regulations

Karting Victoria has devised a set of regulations specific to ‘Club Day’ competition in the state.

Edit: for the benefit of non-Victorian readers, in Victoria the last Sunday of each month is a dedicated ‘Closed Club Race Day’, open only to members of that club. KV’s notice below is formalising the allowance of a club to accept entries from karters in other clubs.

The following was communicated to all the Victorian kart clubs:

CLUB DAY REGULATIONS 2019 as voted on by clubs for inclusion into Victorian State Regulations.

1) Club Day Competition

a) Club Competition is only for Club Day Competition and may incorporate a Maximum of three (3) Clubs, including the Organising Club. The club/s invited MUST be listed in the submitted Supplementary Regulations.

b) Only licence members of the Organising Club and the invited Clubs are permitted to enter a Club Day Competition

c) Drivers holding a Maximum of a B Grade Senior Licence who are Competing in a TaG 125 Restricted Division at a Club Competition will be eligible for points or awards.

Officials Minimum requirements for all club days:

Clerk of Course – Minimum Grade 4
Chief Steward – Minimum Grade 3
Chief Scrutineer –Minimum Grade 4
Chief Timing Officer – Minimum Grade 4
Judge of Facts – Grid, Scales, Starter. Minimum Grade 4

NOTE: Club Day officials for clubs with under 50 Competitors:

If the club uses the Clerk of Course as the starter it is highly recommended that they have an assistant Clerk to deal with any issues arising during the meeting.

If no assistant Clerk of Course is present then the meeting Must be stopped when the Clerk of the course is required to attend to matters as and when they arise during the meeting.

The Chief Scrutineer maybe used as the Scales Marshal.
The Chief steward must not compete or do any other duty.

All Kart clubs

All clubs must maintain, at all times, at least three accredited Judges of Fact holding a current working with children’s card.

NOTE: Club Day officials for clubs with over 50 Competitors:

All clubs must comply with the Karting Australia manual and relevant policy statements
