Team Australia: Kennedy Tops Day 2 Practice

Day three at the Rotax Max Challenge Grand Finals saw four time World Final attendee Ryan Kennedy again top the time sheets in all three of his sessions. Ryan Wood & Damian Ward were also consistently within the top 15.

DD2 Masters veteran Trevor Whitby of Narrandera sat inside the Top 10 in his practice sessions, showing that he and mechanic Matt Greenbury have found the set up for the Sodi Kart in the ever changing conditions Brazil has so far put on. Terry Hanly & Ashley Seward fellow DD2 Masters representatives are also remaining consistently inside the Top 20.

In Rotax Max Kiwi Josh Hart has managed to turn around the kart set up and improve on yesterday’s results seeing him today within the Top 10. Ben Jurczak again showed his pace and talent aboard his #344 Sodi Kart. With Hart’s experience in Europe and racing in different conditions he will certainly be looking to secure a top 10 in qualifying tomorrow.

In Junior Max Jaiden Pope continued showing his capabilities once more again remaining within the Top 10. William Seal also was consistently around the Top 20 after practice 4, 5 and 6. Pope will be hoping for a Top 5 in qualifying on his journey to redemption.

Shayne Piper Race Engines Driver, Costa Toparis battled through both wet and dry conditions at the RMCGF today and ended the day within the Top 10. Costa will be looking to round out the perfect racing year by adding World Champion to his resume, aboard his #122 BirelArt Kart he and Piper will be making sure the setup is just right ahead of qualifying.

Jake Rutkowski, Australia’s Micro Max representative made improvements overnight ending himself and his Praga Kart to inside the Top 10, running the number 007 will he pull out the James Bond moves to secure himself a podium come Sunday?

Qualifying commences on Wednesday.
