Pit Mats Required at The Bend

Pro Tour competitors will be required to use pit mats under every kart when the series rolls into The Bend on September 13 to 16.

The new racing complex in South Australia features a fully sealed bitumen pit area for the kart track. To prevent damaging solvents such as fuel melting the surface, the Supp Regs state “All competitors must provide a floor mat in their pit area for each INDIVIDUAL KART.”

Fully sealed pit/paddock area at The Bend. UPDATE: Circuit staff have confirmed with IKD there will be eyelets secured to the bitumen for teams to use to tie down their tents.

A lot of teams and individuals already use floor mats, but for those who do not, IKD has arranged with Tough As for the supply and delivery of special pit mats, which can be collected at the track from Wednesday, September 12.

There’s also 15% off the price of the other size mats.
