Allen & Sacco Lead The Charge

AUSTRALIAN KART CHAMPIONSHIP ROUND 4 – EMERALD

With the Australian wildlife providing many travellers with some headaches on the journey to Emerald, not even Skippy could slow our Haase pilots putting in solid performances from our KA4 Light superstars.

In typical dry, hot Queensland conditions, our latest recruit and Super Pilot Kai Allen in his first run in his new 2018 Haase Junior chassis, proved too good for the entire field dropping it on Pole in qualifying which is his first Pole for the year. Fellow Haase Pilot Champions Fletcher Harris qualified superbly in 3rd with Christian Cowie in 6th. Mighty Effort Boys!!

The heat races were fierce as the competition in this class is second to none. After poor a qualification in the 13th place, young gun Nicholas Sacco did it the hard way having to drive through the field throughout all heat races showing blistering speed. With the Championship lead in the balance, Super Pilot Fletcher Harris had a weekend to forget with a memorable 3rd in the second heat, followed up with a string of bad luck in the following heats.

Like a true Champion Allen was very consistent all weekend, after his impressive Pole he hardly put a foot wrong taking into consideration this was his first time in the new Haase. In the final, Allen was cool, calm and collected dicing for the lead for most of the race.

Sacco was the surprise package after starting from 10th, made his way through the field and on the second last lap made his move into 2nd place with Allen getting tied up a little dropping back to 3rd. Over the line with Sacco finishing a mighty 2nd and Allen in a brilliant 3rd.  SUPERB…

A massive congratulations to championship leader and round winner Rhys Smith. Nice Work Buddy.

As always thank you to all of our Haase Pilots you are all stars in my eyes. Also to the Haase Mums & Dads, KA, Sponsors, Organisers, Officials, Volunteers and the Emerald Go Kart Club for a marvellous event.

Thanks also to Pace Images & Coopers Photography.
