TaG Restricted Masters:

A dominant performance by Peter Virgulti to be quickest in qualifying and then win every heat and final. Phil Straughen got a well deserved second and it was Gary Payne who eventually came home 3rd.

4SS Senior:

Dominated by Scotty “The Bird” Pearce. Rhys Kinder brought it home second and Kevin Davis got a gallant 3rd.

TaG Restricted Medium:

Jackson Bermingham was in awesome form all day and and Layton smith eventually made his way to second, and Andrew Gilliam after early dramas came in 3rd

TaG Restricted Light:

Ashley Davis had a ding-dong battle all day with the super quick Liam Moyse and just came out on top. Third place went to the Paul McNeil after a very consistent drive.

TaG Heavy:

Ryan O’Sullivan was right on form this round and not even Sam “The Iceman” Houston could stay with him. Sam managed to grab second just ahead of a hard charging  Christopher Williams.

KA3 Senior:

Dale “The Blingy Man” Zimmerman took a fabulous win. Eventual second place getter was Lachlan “The Turkey Man” Nichols with Robbie Reid in third.

TaG Light:

What a display of top-of-his-game driving from Scotty Sorensen to take the win, but it was the all-ladies 2nd and 3rd placings that caught everyone’s eye – and not just because the flying Eryn Osborne got second and ladies national points leader Taylah Agius got 3rd, but because both were sporting the revolutionary looking new aero package on their JC karts!

KA3 Junior:

Tommy “The Hitman” Cooper would have been forgiven for thinking it was going to be another easy win! But my favourite pikey, Oscar Comley, took time out from his Excel Cup preparation to race Ipswich round 3 and what an amazing day they gave us! It could have gone either way and it was all settled on the last lap of the final with Tommy coming out on top. An excellent 3rd went to Nathanial Harrison.

Jmax:

Lachlan Murphy had a cracker of a day just beating Jared Boys who is soon to go sprint car racing.

KA4 Junior:

Oscar Targett drove amazingly all day and took a convincing win. It was a very close fight for second, eventually being won by Ryan Newton just pipping Kurtis Tenant who got third.

There was one 4SS Junior on the back of the KA4s, and that was Coby Tucker who drove well to stay out of the way of the KA4s when getting lapped.

Cadet 12:

“Cool Hand” Luke Trost was unstoppable all day but behind him the battle raged all day long with different drivers taking it in turns to fight their way into the chasing pack. Second eventually went to Marcus Watson and third to a hard charging Lincoln Taylor.

Cadet 9:

It was a 1st & 3rd for the Zcorse team with Max Walton winning and little Jenson Burns coming in third. The meat in the Zcorse sandwich was non other than the Tempur sponsored Jackson Cooper finding some form at Ipswich again.

A great was had by all, the meeting ran like clockwork and great many drivers donated to the Leukemia Foundation and many people proudly wore orange in support.

EDIT: “Between the online page and the race day donations as a club we raised a massive $2,002.45 for the Leukaemia Foundation which has been a monumental effort and smashed our $1500 goal. The Smeaton family would like to thank everyone for their kind donations and support of Victoria and can’t wait to get her better and out to the track for her to start her go kart racing journey.” ~ Steve Peacock
