Drivers will compete in nine classes, catering for a variety of ages, weights and engine capacities at the event. The youngest drivers will be featured in the Cadet 9 class where youngsters aged between 7 and 10 years of age will take to the circuit.

At the elite end of the scale, competitors in the KZ2 Gearbox class will reach speeds in excess of 130 km/h.

Karting is a sport that is enjoyed by drivers of not only all ages but also males and females. Next weekend there will be more than a dozen females in action at the event – including three in the high-performance KA1 class.

Practice will be held on Friday from 8am with qualifying and the heat races held on Saturday. Sunday will feature the final round of heat races ahead of the finals from midday.
