Preview: Tasmanian Statewide Series, Round 2

Launceston Kart Club will hold round two of the Tasmanian State-wide Series this weekend with support from Ambulance Private. More than 80 competitors will travel from all corners of the state to compete.

A strong contingent of locals will target back-to-back wins in their class after victory at round one a month ago.

Caitlin Fitch won her first open race meeting last time out when she won TaG Restricted Heavy and she will be keen to show the boys it was no fluke. Lochie Dalton won the opening round in TaG 125 Light and is keen to continue the form that he has had on the mainland when competition in the National Championships.

Veteran Johnathan Males won yet another round of the state-wide series when he cleaned up KA4 Masters and will be out to add another victory to his resume.

Rounding out round one winners is Brodie Sward who also won his first open race meeting at Smithton in TaG Restricted Light and will go into this weekend meeting full of confidence.

Racing starts at 12 noon on Saturday with finals held on Sunday. Entry is free to spectators and full canteen facilities are available at the track.
