2016 Formula One World Champion Nico Rosberg launched his “Rosberg Young Driver Academy” team at the opening round of the European OK & OK Junior Championship at Sarno.

The new team is in conjunction with Rosberg’s former boss when he was racing karts, Dino Chiesa. As such, the Academy uses Chiesa’s Kart Republic chassis. Rosberg Racing also has support from Petronas.
“Special day for me” Nico posted on social media. “Hope we can find/support a future champ together. First talents to join us are Taylor Barnard (Winner of 2017 British Open Championship) and Lorenzo Travisanutto – winner of the 2016 WSK Super Master Series in the OK category.”
