Italian Karting Championship Regulations

Regulations for the Italian ACI Karting 2018 Championship have been published.

The championship will feature national categories, single-make trophies for classes Junior and Senior X30, Rok, Rotax, Easykart. Opener at the circuit of Siena on April 29th. Following races in La Conca, Sarno, Lonato, Adria, Val Vibrata, Ugento, Castelletto.

The Italian ACI Karting 2018 Championship is on the go for a strong season. The publication of Sporting and Technical regulations brings us one step closer to the opener of the season that will feature some novelties.

As already announced, the main novelty is the introduction of the single-make Trophies Iame X30 Junior and Senior, Rok Junior and Senior, Rotax Junior and Senior, Easykart 100 and 125 Master, that will join the national grades KZ2, KZ3 (Junior, Under, Over), OK, OK-Junior and 60 Mini.

The title of Italian Karting Champion will be awarded in all the categories, as the absolute Women National Trophy.

The calendar features 8 races, with different categories on track: the opener will take place in Siena on April 29th, the International Circuit La Conca’s round will follow on May 29th, the International Circuit Napoli of Sarno on June 10th, South Garda Karting in Lonato on July 1st, Adria Karting Raceway on July 29th, Kartodrome Val Vibrata in Sant’Egidio alla Vibrata on August 29th, Pista Salentina of Ugento on September 16th, and the 7 Laghi International Circuit of Castelletto on September 23rd.

The championship will be run in 5 rounds for classes KZ2, OK, OK-Junior, 60 Mini, X30, Rok and Rotax, while KZ3 and Easykart will run 3 rounds.

The closing rounds in Ugento and Castelletto will have an increased points scoring scheme with coefficient 1.5, but this will not be applied to KZ3 and Easykart.

Entries must be filed to ACI Sport SpA within April 21st, 2018 with payment of entry fees. These fees amount to Euros 300,00 + VAT for classes 60 Mini, OK-Junior, OK, KZ2, X30, Rok and Rotax, and to Euros 180,00 + VAT for Easykart and KZ3.

Entry fees could be paid to ACI Sport SpA on a race by race basis, within the Monday proceeding the race, but in this case, a tax amounting to Euros 100,00 + VAT per round will apply.

Entry fees for single race participation will have to be made to the organizers with the following scheme:
Euros 300,00 + VAT for OK-Junior, OK and KZ2, for each round;
Euros 200,00 + VAT for 60 Mini, X30, Rok, Rotax, Easykart, for each round;
Euros 150,00 + VAT for KZ3, for each round.

The final stages of each round will include Race-1 (with a higher amount of points awarded) and Race-2 (fewer points awarded), and top 8 grid inversion in Race-2 based on the result of Race-1.

The final classification of the Italian Championship for classes 60 Mini, OK-Junior, OK, KZ2, X30, Rok and Rotax is drawn based on the best 8 results.

The final classification of the Italian Championship for classes KZ3 and Easykart will be drawn based on the best 4 results.

The National Women Trophy will be given based on the 6 best results of each female driver

At the end of each final, the top 3 drivers will receive a prize, and the top 3 of 60 Mini for “Under 10”: date of birth after January 1st 2008.

  • 4th round: 29/6 1 July 2018 – South Garda Karting, Lonato del Garda (Brescia)

  • 5th round: 27-29 July 2018 – Adria Karting Raceway, Adria (Rovigo)
