Former F1 World Champion Jenson Button and current Red Bull star Daniel Ricciardo took to the track aboard Ricciardo Karts at a private track event earlier this month, organised by the USA West Coast distributor for the brand, Phil Giebler Racing.
PGR put on a star studded event for their customers at CalSpeed Karting and celebrated Button’s birthday. Jenson invited his good friend Daniel Ricciardo and the duo spent the afternoon lapping, discussing the old days of karting with PGR drivers, and demonstrating the 2018 Ricciardo karts to the 90+ people at the event.
Drivers were able to get on track and race the IAME powered machines for some laps to get a feel of the Birel ART developed Ricciardo Kart, featuring the new wind-tunnel inspired body work and 2018 graphic kit.
A veteran kart racer, driver coach and team owner, Phil Giebler and his father Everett have taken charge of the brand management and distribution of Ricciardo Kart for West Coast America.

“It was an honor to host Jenson’s birthday and for the PGR Kickoff event for teams and drivers with Daniel Ricciardo” Giebler said.
“Having iconic drivers present to inspire our drivers was a great experience for all.”
