Kartsport NZ Does Deal with National Tyre Chain

Carter’s helping karters?  Or karters helping Carter’s?  KartSport New Zealand has entered a new partnership with nationwide tyre retail chain Carter’s Tyre Service.

The deal will see affiliated KartSport New Zealand club members receive special deals on tyres and tyre related services at Carter’s Tyre Service and General Tyres branches nationwide.

The partnership is further boosted via the support of Goodyear & Dunlop Tyres (NZ) Ltd with an “exclusive offer” only available to KartSport New Zealand members who purchase Dunlop or Goodyear branded tyres for their cars, commercial or agricultural vehicles.

However, the specifics of these special deals and offers was not mentioned in the Kartsport NZ press release.

“It certainly is a partnership with a lot of potential,” says KartSport New Zealand President Graeme Moore.

“Karting is the first step on the motorsport ladder and as such offers a company like Carter’s Tyre Service a group of potential customers from Whangarei to Invercargill with a strong family focus, and one which is constantly being refreshed.”

As a member of one such family, Carter’s Tyre Service General Manager Matt Carter certainly needed little convincing when he was approached with the partnership offer.

“Like a lot of people in the sport we’re passionate about all forms of motorsport and when our daughter Stella expressed interest in having a go in a kart we found ourselves going down the track of finding out what club was closest, what classes there were and how she could try out driving to see if she liked it.”

“In doing so we discovered a fantastic family-oriented activity run by people who would bend over backwards to help you. The promotional partnership with KartSport New Zealand is, if you like, our way of returning the favour,” Matt says.

Carter’s Tyre Service is an independent, family-owned-and-run business with 36 branches across the North Island and Upper South Island, and affiliated with six General Tyres branches in Otago and Southland.
