Continuing on the success of the SP Tools Junior Sprockets programs, the upcoming event on the Gold Coast in Queensland has reached capacity.

The program has been designed to provide budding young karters with the thrill and excitement of kart racing in a safe and controlled environment while being educated by professional instructors and drivers.

2010 Supercars Champion James Courtney will be among the group of instructors at the Norwell Motorplex on the Gold Coast to share his knowledge with the participants.

“To see another Junior Sprockets day reach capacity is very pleasing and highlights the great work by everyone involved,” said Karting Australia CEO Kelvin O’Reilly.

“Having such a high level of interest in the program certainly shows that it’s hitting the mark for the new karter.

“Over the past two years we’ve seen a great take up rate of participants into licence holders and we look forward to this trend continuing as the program expands into the future.”

Limited places are still available for the other SP Tools Junior Sprockets programs to be held in Gladstone, Townsville, Coffs Harbour, Newcastle and Canberra throughout the remainder of 2017.
