Graham Powles & Terry Fullerton to Judge Karts at Vintage Kart Prix

Karting icons Graham Powles and Terry Fullerton are set to be special judges at the 2017 Australian Vintage Kart Prix.

The duo will score karts on multiple criteria in the event’s “Karts Through Time” display to award the Powles-Fullerton Trophy for Best of Show.

Karts will be judged with emphasis on originality, period correct details, workmanship and modifications. They can be shown in original, restored or modified condition or simply displayed for historical significance.

Points will be assigned based on the following weighting:

  1. Frame/chassis (40 points)
    1. Frame – 10
    2. Paint – 10
    3. Pedals/linkage – 10
    4. Decals – 10
  2. Engine (30 points)
    1. Linkage – 5
    2. Color – 10
    3. Exhaust – 10
    4. Carb/intake – 5
  3. Tires/wheels (15 points)
    1. Wheel finish/color – 10
    2. Hub caps – 5
  4. Upholstery (15 points)
    1. Color – 5
    2. Condition – 10

Fullerton will be the event’s guest of honour. Former World Champion Gert Munkholm will drive at the meeting, as will Ronnie Lundberg, a Swedish World Championship team driver, plus a host of Aussie legends.  James Courtney will attend the Gala Dinner.
